IsraDecal F-16A/B Netz (IAF-46)

This very complete sheet provides decals for two aircraft and covers pretty much all the early F-16s of the IAF. For the kit I recommend the fantastic Revell of Germany kit, any boxing will do since they all contain the F-16A sprues (I have never seen the F-16B kit myself but I guess it’s the same quality). You will need to scratch-build the chaff dispensers for some schemes though, which should not bee too difficult.

Two Bobs F/A-18E Rockin’Rhinos #1 (72-044)

Two nice schemes are included in this sheet, with enough stencils to do both. On the down side most markings are given as multiple layer decals, which may be a bit tricky. This allows the modeler to control the register rather than relying on the printer’s skills, which was a great option at a time when printing was not as advanced as today. However, many decals are now printed with perfect register without any problem so I’m a bit skeptical about this approach.

Superscale F-14A Tomcatters/Pukin’Dogs/Red Reapers (72-351)

Three sets of markings: VF-31, VF-143 and VF-11 from the 80s. These decals are quite old, Micro Decal film or equivalent strongly advised!

Hasegawa F-14A “Tarsiers/Starfighters-Fighting Renegades”

This is a pretty old boxing, but the markings make it very attractive: VF-33 Tarsiers/Starfighters and VF-24 Fighting Renegades. The box contains the standard F-14A kit with engraved panel lines.

Hasegawa F-14A “VF-154 Black Knights Millenium”

A nice kit, especially for its HUGE decal sheet printed by Cartograf. From this standpoint it is much better than the Atsugi 25th Anniversary boxing, which is also included in this sheet
🙂
The kit in itself is the standard F-14A kit with engraved panel lines., with the addition of the N sprue for the NACA gun vents.
